they have a yellow helmet as well...I think it's awesome. If i was a recruit i would want to play for them cause of how cool those look. Can't say kids won't either...look at legarrete blount

+ they get more jerseys to give to family members at the end of the season...Some programs only get 2 jerseys all year and if you rip it...well you pay to get another one..

Oregon is the laughing stock of the Pac 10 when it comes to uniforms. What team in their right mind would want to look anything like the visiting Oakland Raiders? Maybe if Oregon concentrated more on such things like filling coaching vacancies in a timely manner, and finding something to use instead of excuses for their defense, they could play in a Rose Bowl game. Now that would be a novel idea. By the way, no Pac 10 team wants tolose to a team that is dressed like some circus reject. Oregon is a joke.

I have no idea what "filling coaching vacancies in a timely manner" means.

As for the rest, Oregon has the second best record in the Pac-10 dating back twenty five years. The uniforms are for recruiting, and they've worked. As long as Oregon keeps winning, I don't really see the problem. Honestly, the worst thing about our uniforms is the whining we hear with posts like these.

Why don't they just mix them all together? Just take the silver helmet,yellow jersey,green pants,& black shoes. That will please all of the crazy uniform enthusiasts,as well as annoy the hell out of the crazy uniform haters.

Ask 18 year old recruits. Recruits say all the time that they love the uniforms. Are they the principle reason for most kids committing? Probably not. But with the uniforms, the facilities, and the style of offense Oregon runs, UO has an aura of modernity that 17 and 18 year old kids love. Without those things, you really wouldn't be getting the caliber of athletes that we're getting to come to Eugene freaking Oregon, you know?

Well supurb facilties is a big bonus - no doubt. Great program and coaches that can help a kid get to the next level is big too... lets be real, 90% of these kids are dreaming about taking it a step further... Uniforms have got to be a bit further down the list.

And if your talking about what draws a kid to campus... have you seen the babe's on campus at USC and UCLA? SoCal has draw power baby... 18 & 19 year old kids, love to be loved by the babes - bodacious babes... and SoCal is swarming with them.
